St Francis Pupils Bowled Over by Cricket Success!

We’re thrilled to announce that Year 6 pupils Zara and Tom, along with Senior pupil Priya, have been selected to join the Wiltshire County Cricket teams, representing U11 and U13 levels respectively. Their hard work and dedication have earned them a place among the county’s best young cricketers—a fantastic achievement that reflects their passion and talent for the game.

Kevan Brown, Director of Sport at St Francis, expressed his delight at the news: “We couldn’t be prouder of Zara, Tom, and Priya. Securing a spot on the Wiltshire County Cricket teams is no small feat and is testament to the commitment and enthusiasm they bring to each training session. They’ve shown remarkable determination, and their success will be an inspiration to our entire school community.”

Zara and Tom have been active members of our school cricket teams, displaying great skill and sportsmanship on the pitch. Their selection for the U11 team is well-deserved and an exciting step forward in their cricketing journey. Priya, now representing the U13s, has been a dedicated player throughout her time at St Francis, and her elevation to the county level is a wonderful achievement.

David Lee, Headmaster at St Francis, shared his congratulations: “This is truly an outstanding accomplishment for Zara, Tom, and Priya, and we are all so pleased for them. At St Francis, we believe in nurturing our pupils’ talents both on and off the field, and it’s fantastic to see their efforts recognised in this way. They’ve put in the hours, honed their skills, and now have this tremendous opportunity to represent Wiltshire. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way!”

With a strong foundation at St Francis and the backing of their school community, we know Zara, Tom, and Priya will continue to flourish in their cricket careers. We look forward to seeing them take to the field in the Wiltshire colours and wish them every success for the upcoming season!
