Biathlon Success for St Francis
St Francis School is celebrating some South West sporting success, with a brilliant round of results at the recent biathlon in Millfield.
The St Francis pupils competed against pupils from schools all over the South West, including some exceptional athletes who represent at a high level. All the St Francis athletes did well, with a significant proportion achieving the standard required to compete at the Nationals later in the season.
However, there was one St Francis team who did exceptionally well; Archie, Edward and Bertie from Year 5 managed to achieve a Silver Medal in their Year 5 Boys division!
Director of Sport at St Francis, Kevan Brown, enthused “This is an incredible result for the boys, and I’m thrilled that their athletic talent has been recognised in this way. I am incredibly proud of all the St Francis pupils who participated in the South West Biathlon, and would like to congratulate all those who have qualified for the Nationals.”
Head at St Francis, David Lee, added “Sport at St Francis is something we are incredibly proud of, for a small Prep School we regularly compete at an incredibly high level, and the standard we achieve is testament to the incredible coaching we are able to provide. Well done to all those who went to the Millfield Biathlon, and especially Edward, Archie and Bertie for their medals!”
