Year 8 pupil at Pewsey prep school St Francis has done just that though; not content with securing a sports scholarship, he has also been awarded a music scholarship to the Princess of Wales’ alma mater, Marlborough College.

Will follows in his older sisters’ footsteps, both of whom already attend the prestigious Wiltshire School which boasts an impressive array of alumni including comedian Jack Whitehall.

In his feedback for his Sports Scholarship, the sports department commented on Will’s talent as a sportsman as well as team playing skills.

Will himself commented “I am just really relieved that I secured a place at Marlborough College; to win a scholarship is great but two – I couldn’t believe it! I’m really happy!”

Head at St Francis, David Lee, added “Will is a complete asset to St Francis, and so we are not surprised that Marlborough College have recognised him in this way – it is thoroughly well deserved and we are over the moon for Will.”
